About the Department:
The Department of Neonatology is dedicated to the specialized care of newborns, particularly high-risk and premature infants. Accredited as a Level III-b NICU by the National Neonatology Forum (NNF), it is among the largest neonatal units in Tamil Nadu, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and a multidisciplinary team to handle complex neonatal conditions.
The core mission of the department is to deliver evidence-based, compassionate, and family-centered neonatal care while advancing medical education and research. The department also aims to reduce neonatal morbidity and mortality by enhancing quality of care, expanding access to underserved populations, and developing innovative, sustainable healthcare models.
