The Department of Community Medicine imparts teaching and training to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The objectives of the undergraduate training program are to impart knowledge, skills, attitude, and values to function effectively as a first contact physician of the community. The Post-graduate program is designed for skill development to identify community health problems and plan appropriate primary-level care. The students are also trained in basic managerial skills and to conduct research in a scientific and ethical manner.
All faculty members have undergone the Teacher Training programme and Faculty Development programs.
